2015 survey reconfirmed high customer loyalty

A total of more than 6000 Danfoss Drives customers (about 3400 Danfoss Power Electronics and about 2800 Vacon customers) recently completed our 2015 Customer Loyalty and Improvement survey. The survey provided us with valuable feedback of where we are performing well and where we need to improve our performance. As the survey was sent to both Danfoss and Vacon customers, the questions were slightly modified depending on the recipient: in the survey sent to Vacon customers, the term Danfoss VLT Drives was replaced by VACON® AC drives. The survey included only two questions:

• On a scale of 1-10, how likely is it that you would recommend Danfoss VLT Drives to customers or colleagues?
• If you could get us to do just one thing, which would improve your recommendation of Danfoss VLT Drives, what would you have us do?

The survey showed a continued high level of loyalty. Improvement recommendations include a good number of ideas/recommendations for additional features on the products, which are now being considered by the product management teams for future products. The share of comments related to delivery has decreased in the recent years, showing that our initiatives in the past years have had an impact. Neutral or low scores are brought to the attention of the management, and most cases are followed-up individually to clarify the specific issues with the respondents. Each region has chosen regional key actions based on the feedback and factories are utilizing the input from a global point of view.

Thank you all who participated in the survey, and a special thank you to the ones who also completed the branding survey after the two loyalty questions.

Networking at Danish-Polish Maritime Business Forum

A Danish-Polish Maritime Business Forum was organized during the BALTEXPO 2015 International Maritime Exhibition in Gdańsk, Poland on 7 - 9 September 2015. “This was a forum for developing business relationships between Danish and Polish marine industries, with focus on sustainable shipbuilding and shipping. Danfoss Drives offer energy-efficient drives solutions to both new ships as well as to retrofitting projects, so this was an excellent opportunity for us to network,” explains Helge Vandel Jensen, Business Development Manager, Marine & Offshore, Danfoss Drives, who was invited to give a presentation at the forum.

Scandinavian and Baltic know-how in the marine technology is highly appreciated in Poland. “Although Poland has strong traditions in ship building, the aim of the Polish marine industry is to further develop cooperation and relationships with the Baltic and Scandinavian marine cluster, which is known for innovative technologies and regarded to be in the forefront of the industry,” say Wojciech Kubak and Rafal Rutkowski, representing Danfoss Drives Poland team at the forum.

The trend in shipbuilding is that ships to be built will be equipped with AC drives technology to an ever increasing extent. “Now that we have also VACON® products and technology in the Danfoss Drives portfolio, we have extended possibilities to serve customers and a wide range of applications in the marine segment. We are able to supply drives with a power range up to 5 - 6 MW, and technology to improve energy-efficiency and reduce fuel consumption, environmental impact, noise and vibrations,” says Helge Vandel Jensen. “You are welcome to meet us at Europort exhibition in Rotterdam, Holland, on 3 - 6 November to hear more about our extended offering to the marine segment” Helge Vandel Jensen concludes.

Caption: After the business forum, the representatives of Remontowa ship repair yard invited Danfoss Drives representatives to visit their site in Gdańsk.
